Looks like it’s all about NASCAR in LaGrange this week. Oldham’s Public Bus - we call ourselves “OPIE” for short - is doing its part to help move residents and visitors around while they are here. Our regular, Monday through Friday Red and Green Routes are joined by a Farmer’s Market Special Route that runs on Saturdays from July through October. Getting to any grocery, business or LaGrange’s Farmer’s Market on the beautiful courthouse square couldn’t be easier or more cost effective than catching one of our buses.
OPIE plans other seasonal routes that will be fun and convenient…not to mention easy on the ol’ pocketbook! Watch for a Holiday Route just after Thanksgiving and a Spring Fever Route. OPIE is a public bus for anyone who wants to take advantage of it.
In the meantime, jump on board and stop at the LaGrange Farmer’s Market on Saturday. The bus leaves the courthouse gazebo at the top of each hour and makes 20 stops around LaGrange before returning to the Farmer’s Market by the gazebo at 45 minutes after the hour. All of our bus drivers have schedules for the Farmer’s Market Special as well as the regular Red and Green Routes. Or, you can call us at (502) 222-6400 and we will send you schedules. You’ll be able to go online for all of them as soon as we update our website.
