About HDB

Mission Statement

A 501c3 charitable organization, HDB’s primary mission is to facilitate and organize services that improve the health and well-being of the elderly, people with disabilities and/or those of low income through service and encouragement.

We are responsible for initiating LOCAL Transit and The Community Care Clinic, services that did not exist in Oldham County prior to 2002 when we opened the doors at HDB.

LOCAL Transit enables people without their own transportation to get to employment sites, grocery stores, medical facilities, pharmacies and government/community services. All of our busses are lift equipped for people who use wheelchairs or walkers. Our emphasis is on safe, quality, on-time service focused on superior customer service. Currently, we serve only Oldham County.

The Community Care Clinic aims to improve access to health care for the uninsured. Our focus is on assisting people who have no other means to obtain healthcare for treatment of chronic, controllable conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure. Patients living anywhere are welcome at the Clinic. We have patients from Oldham, Henry, Trimble, Carroll and Jefferson Counties.
